Registration, transfer,
and cancellation.

The Founding Cohort is capped, and a seat nobody uses is a seat somebody else wanted. This policy is built around that, and around one other thing: the closer the seminar gets, the less of your money is still recoverable, because it has already been spent on the room you are walking into.

So the terms change as the date approaches. They are stated here in full, before you pay, so there is nothing to discover later.

Transfer

Send someone else. Any time up to fourteen days before. No charge, no questions.

If you register and cannot attend, the first and best option is to send a colleague. The seat stays yours to give. Whoever attends receives everything the registration includes, Founding Cohort designation included.

Fourteen days is the deadline because the workbook is produced with a name on it. It is also the day registration closes, for the same reason.

Cancellation

Three windows. They track when our money stops being recoverable.

Through Dec 31, 2026 Full refund less a $250 administrative fee. Registration is still open, the seat returns to inventory, and someone on the waiting list takes it at the Founding rate. The fee covers the administrative cost of processing the cancellation and returning the seat, and it exists so that a Founding seat is not free optionality held while you decide.
Jan 1 – Jan 31, 2027 Fifty percent credit toward a future seminar. No cash refund. Registration has closed. The room is set, and a seat released now is unlikely to be filled at Founding value.
Feb 1, 2027 onward No refund and no credit. Transfer remains available until fourteen days before. By February the workbooks are printed, the credential sets are produced, and the venue and catering commitments are given against a confirmed headcount. That money is gone whether you are in the room or not.
About credits

Applied at the rate in effect when you redeem them.

A credit is applied to the seat price of a future Leadership by Design seminar at the rate in effect when you redeem it. If the seat costs more than your credit, you pay the difference.

Credits expire eighteen months from the date of issue.

The Founding Cohort designation

It belongs to the room, not to the receipt.

Everyone who attends the first seminar is a member of the Founding Cohort — whether you registered in September or the week registration closed. It is not gated by the date you booked.

If you transfer your seat, the designation goes with it — whoever attends is a member of the Founding Cohort.

If you cancel, the designation does not survive, and no credit restores it. There is no way to bank it against a later seminar, because a later seminar is not the first one.

Your card and pin are given to you at check-in.

That is the whole meaning of the word.

If we cancel

Your call, not ours.

If the seminar is cancelled or the date is moved, you choose: a full refund, or your seat at the new date.
