Assessment

Your architecture is already running.
This identifies it.

What follows is not a leadership assessment. It is not a personality test. It is not a measurement of your capability, your character, or the quality of your leadership decisions.

It is a diagnostic of your automatic response architecture — the internal orientation your nervous system defaults to in the first moments after a significant challenge registers. Before your deliberate leadership can engage. Before you have decided anything consciously.

Instruction

This distinction matters
for how you answer what follows.

The architecture this assessment is designed to identify operates below the threshold of deliberate evaluation. It fires before you have had time to consider what the right response should be. Which means the moment you stop to evaluate your answer — the moment you ask yourself what a good leader would do, or what you would want to be true about yourself, or what answer reflects the kind of leader you are working to become — you have stopped measuring the architecture and started measuring your aspirations.

Your aspirations are not what this diagnostic needs.

What it needs is the honest first response. Not the considered one. Not the improved one. Not the answer that represents who you are building toward. The answer that reflects what actually fires when the situation arrives and the deliberate system has not caught up.

How To Take It

Answer each question
with the first response that feels true.

Do

Use the first gut response before evaluation begins. We are looking for your instinctual reaction, not the answer you’ve been conditioned or trained to provide.

Do Not

Answer as the leader you want to be, the answer that sounds admirable, or the version of yourself you are trying to become.

What Matters

Accuracy. A flattering result that does not recognize you is worthless. An uncomfortable result that does is the beginning of something powerful.

Launch

There are no correct answers here.
There is only useful accuracy.

Every architecture has produced extraordinary leaders. Every architecture has produced organizational failure. What matters is the most accurate (therefore revealing) reading of your automatic orientation, because that produces the most useful result.
